Bad Vibes
At the festival, you will find yourself smashed up against at least 4 other people the entire time, even when you try to get some food. Expect to be holding your food pressed to your chest while getting pushed and kicked by hundreds of people as they run past you at full speed to be an hour early to the next show. The mentality at this super crowded event seems to be to just push and shove everyone out of our way.
I was sitting in the front of one of the EDM stages right next to the wall of subs, expecting to be blasted away by the music, but it was actually really quiet. The stages are right in the middle of the city, so they can't blast the entire city with music, possibly explaining why the music wasn't as loud. Additionally, all the stages are so close to each other that they overlap in noise, contributing to the lower volume. On the Liberty stage, 21 savage finally started blaring the bass, which was the moment when I started to enjoy the festival a lot more. This allowed me to talk to people across the crowd with the music playing.
